   I have done two oil changes since having the new motor.  The first was using   
   regular 10w30 and just recently went to synthetic 10w30.  Can't remember the   
   exact brand.     
      
   The oil type doesn't seem to make a difference.  I just write it off as the   
   way this new engine was built.  The mechanic that I have talked to about it   
   told me not to worry about it.  Even if something happens, I have a 3 year   
   100k warranty on it from Jasper.  It runs great, has better pickup then my   
   original engine (probably due to new plugs/distributer).     
      
   It is just the cold starts.  If I rev it up a few times, it will stop doing   
   the noise faster.
