   It didn't help that I had no manual at the time.  It was a "hunt and peck"   
   mission.  That added to the amount of time it took to remove/replace the   
   heater core in the 85 Camaro.

   No change on the noise.  The colder it is outside and the longer the car sits,   
   the more noticeable the ticking noise is.  Normally over 5 hours of sitting,   
   you will hear it for about 30-60 seconds.  Then it goes completely away.
