   There is a RF chip in the steering column that is related to your security   
   system, but I'm told you can't fix it yourself. You can/should take it to   
   a Ford dealer and they can scan the CPU to find your problem and fix it   
   for you. I'd ask them to diable it if they can...

   I found the RF chip and it's location, but the schamtics didn't load, so I   
   can't tell you much more about it.

   I'm told by two mechanics (Chevrolet manager and a service-man) that you   
   can't fix it... Knowing them like I do, I'd trust their word on it.
