Mine is made by Scosche and has a tuneable output frequency. Very       easy to use and use 2 AAA batterys. I think it cost less than $12...              They plug into an MP3 players speaker jacks, or any speaker jack for that       matter and the transmitter broadcasts your music over the FM band.
