   I missed that, but my sister-in-law had it when she was younger.  She was from   
   London and once the family moved to the states, it was about that time the   
   Salk vaccine was available and she is normal now (from the neck down).  As for   
   me, I was very athletic when I was younger, but didn't keep it up and it   
   didn't matter because after one reaches age 40, one's body begins to fall   
   apart.
