RW> What if a problem arises that can't be detected without the CEL being off       RW> first? Overheating, no oil pressure, etc.? They'd be up a creek without a       RW> padle.              I agree. There is no way I would drive around forever with the CEL on. Once       i See it, I throw my code reader on it right away. I carry it with me in my       trunk. If I need more diags, I have the laptop with the OBDII cable. :)              I had to get a different reader for the ABS, however. It uses the OBDII, but       the apparently a different reader is needed. I had several instances where I       had a speed sensor out in a wheel bearing - and this would tell me which one       was not working. Otherwise, it would be a guessing game.              - Mark              --- WWIVToss v.1.50         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
