   They have something else for that. I forget what they're called, but   
   they're O2 sensor replacements that tell the CPU everything is as it

   You can remove the cat and the exhaust will pass emissions, but it won't   
   pass the 'look' test. Not many techs look under the car. I understand that   
   in California, the CHP (highway patrol) now uses a mirror on a stick to   
   take a look at your exhaust system while standing next to the car.
