   In my car rapair years, Now gone, I did the same thing. In fact I   
   used to select my cars form the Consumer Rports WORST USED CAR BUY   
   list becasue they were even cheaper then the cars with the good   
   reputations. Alsm I basiclly did not buy anythiogn with less than   
   50,000 miles on it.   
   After the Audi 5000 sudden acelleration scare(Really terminally STUPID   
   Driver Error) and the 60 Minute report I had 2 of those and thy were   
   Excelent cars and saved me even more money.   
   We used the "Saved Money" to pay off our 30 year Home Loan in 15 Years.
