RW> Not only that, but the ECU tells the transmission when to shift and how       RW> much hydraulic pressure to apply. The dealer, or you if you have a tuner,       RW> can change all of that.              I thought you needed a replacement chip that was programmable?               I have software for monitoring settings of the ECU but it doesn't program       anything. I can record trips, etc and watch the different sensors in action.               I had to drain some transmission fluid from my car after the rebuild. They       had put too much in and it was "foaming" on the dipstick. This will cause the       torque converter to slip in and out at times in 3rd or 4th gear. Once I       drained some out, it had not missed a beat since.              - Mark              --- WWIVToss v.1.50         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
