RW> I guess people do what they have to do to get around. I wouldn't drive       RW> anything like that, but who knows...              I have seen a car or two driving around with no hood, missing fenders, etc.       Not sure what the rules are on that.              My old 80' Malibu was the least expensive car I ever drove. $300 + $1200 for       the 350 transmission swap that we had to do. Reverse was the only thing that       worked at the time. It was my second car that I bought when I was around 18       years old.               I saw an old Buick (1996) for sale a few days ago when driving to work. $800.       It was in great shape - but is no race car. For that cheap - even if you       only get 3 months out of it, you have done good.              I have thought about getting a "beater" car as a spare in case I need to do       work on my main car. I used to have the truck as my spare years ago.              Personally, I enjoy driving older cars and keeping them running. I bought my       2002 Monte Carlo new with the intent of keeping it along time. I would rather       use money on the home than buying a new car every few years like some people.       All in personal preference, I guess.              - Mark              --- WWIVToss v.1.50         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
