   Actually, it smoked out the crankcase breather, then through the seam   
   between the hood and fender, leaving a bluish white cloud behind the car.   
   This was 1960, so there were no EPA cops on the roads. Today, a car like   
   this in California would be impounded for emitting that smoke. In Texas,   
   you'd just get a fixit ticket.
