mVÌPVÿÿ> They kept telling me they were having problems getting it       aligned. Then       mVÌPVÿÿ> after 3 1/2 hrs, they tell me it is done, but not 100% because       the control       mVÌPVÿÿ> arm is bent. Why they did this and waited 3 1/2 hours to tell       me this is       mVÌPVÿÿ> beyond me. They said it is "safe" and that they did the best       they could.       mVÌPVÿÿ>        mVÌPVÿÿ> I drove it down the road and the stearing wheel was almost 90       degrees of       mVÌPVÿÿ> (to the right). I turned around, dropped it back off and told       them to       mVÌPVÿÿ> straighten the wheel. They first said that is how I must drive       it until I       mVÌPVÿÿ> get a new control arm and I told them the car was in better       shape before I       mVÌPVÿÿ> took it there.                     This is absolute crap. I have never heard of such a thing. There used to be a       shop in Mt. Washington called Roache's Frontend and Frame. I had an old       Porsche 914 and put heavier lowered coils on the back which necessitated       haveing the front lowered to level the car. They put a sandbag in the driver's       seat with my weight in it and did a four wheel alignment. The end result was       fantastic. The car was so low it was like a go-kart. I could get onto I-83       from 695 onramp doing 90mph weaving in and out of cars without any effort. It       was like everyone was going in slow motion. Great suspension shop. Most good       tire shops in the area could do your work, I used to like Klausmeyer tires and       I think the one in Perry Hall is still open.               Now I am on Cape Cod and don't know what's good. I found a nice little shop in       Providence RI where the VW crowd hangs out. When I lower my GTi, I will go       there.               jah                      --- WWIVToss v.1.50         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
