TW> I wanted to have a Engine/Tranny rebuild done on the Wifes 1993 Subaru       TW> with 280,000 plus miles on it but she said NO WAY. :-) :-)              I'm really happy with the results. I really like the car and I don't know of       any new car you can buy for $6000. Not bad for 9 years and 150k miles. The       engine would have gone much longer, but that aluminum head and lower manifold       rot was a real problem causing loss of antifreeze.              Over the years I have also done many front end related replacements.               Both axles, wheel bearings, and swaybar. I just did a total brake job about a       month ago, too.              There is very little rust. Just the area under the radiator, rear sway bar,       and control arms. I used some anti-rust stuff on the metal area where the       radiator sits under the car. Once it dried and I cleaned it up, I then       painted it.               - Mark              --- WWIVToss v.1.41b Registered         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
