Trying to find info on the 2001 Durango transmission (4.7L        MH> V-8).              Should be a simple, R&R, once the pan is off. Rather than replace it first       off, I'd test it. A 12vdc supply (battery) connected to the coil and a       ground to the other end of the coil should give you an idea of its       condition.               MH> So far, it appears it would involve a pan drop + value body removal.              I'm not so sure of that valve body removal. I'm not a MOPAR fan, but those       solenoids are mounted to the rear of the valve body in GM trans and       they're removable without removing the valve body. You should be able to       find the solenoid by looking at the external plugin recepticle.               MH> Trying to find the exact process and how difficult it would be before        MH> diving in. Plus, I will need to order the proper part(s).              If you have to remove the valve body, be careful how you handle it. There       are (in GM trans) rubber balls that act like valves that can't be lost or       moved without affecting the way the trans operates. Just a heads up, in       case you decide to tackle it without the exact process in hand.                      R\%/itt                     --- GoldED+/W32 1.1.5-31012        * Origin: Texas Lone-Star - Texan, American, USAian (1:387/22)    |
