RW>And some embarrassing moments too. My first attempt to start a 1951 Ford       RW>was one of mine. GM cars of the time had ignitions that had the tumblers       RW>facing up and the keey went in the lock with the 'teeth' facind down.       RW>Fords were just the opposite, tumblers on top, key's teeth facing up.              RW>When the guy who gave me the keys to his 51 Ford said that I could start       RW>it and warm up the engine for him came along and to the crowd around his       RW>car said: 'Watch him put the key in upside down.' Yeup, I put the key in       RW>the ignition like it was a GM car, fully aware that it was aFord and the       RW>key went in the ignition with the tumbler teeth up...demonstrating the       RW>power of suggestion!              That reminds me of one of My Most embarrassing moments. In my Early       days in the Navy(1952) I was up in Great Lakes and was visiting a family       and was going to take the Daughtwer soemwhere. Since i did not have a       car her father gave me the keys to his Oldsmobile. I was a Ford man and       had never been in a GM car and could not find the Starter button.       ---        þ SLMR 2.1a þ Typo Tom Strkes Again        * Origin: Fidonet Since 1991 And Still Here.
