RW> Gas line leaks are too dangerous for my blood. A friend of mine had a 61       RW> Chevy pickup that he gave to a shop in east county San Diego for       RW> refurbishing and updating. They put a 454 w/700R4 from his 74 GMC pickkup              He is lucky the vehicle didn't end up being a car-be-que. :)               ABout 3 years ago (right before I got the new engine for my 02 Monte) my fuel       pressure regulator started a slow leak. I remember it was around Christmas       and cold outside. I was in the parking lot of a store and smelled gas.        Opened the hood and saw a bit of gas leaking from my pressure regulator.        Needless to say, I got it replaced the next day. It was replaced again when I       got my new engine.              I still need to replace my fuel pump at some point to fix the float/gas guage.       Not an emergency project. I'm just happy that won't involve dropping the       tank. Just have to make sure all fittings are secure.              - Mark              --- WWIVToss v.1.50         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
