A friend of mine had a 61       Chevy pickup that he gave to a shop in east county San Diego for       refurbishing and updating. They put a 454 w/700R4 from his 74 GMC pickkup       in it, chopped the front suspension off of it and installed the GMC, frame       to frame patched. They also took the rear end out from under his 75       Chevelle and put that under the 61, with Monte Carlo springs. 61s have       this 'wish-bone' suspension that really sucks (althought NASCAR uses a       stroner version of it as their 'required' suspension on race cars). He       finally got tired of waiting weeks and weeks for that shop to finish his       truck and so had it piggy-backed to a friends shop for completion.              He filled the gas tank with 5 gallons of gasoline, anticipating a long       idle time while things were adjusted. Well, the shop had put in a new gas       line feeding it through the frame, etc...what they didn't tell him was       that they cut it in half and fed it from both ends and never tightened       that connection. I can still hear him cussing those guys out as he lay on       the floor attempting to tighten that fitting, with 5 gallons of gas       under him.              If his temper was as hot as a match or spark, that gas would have ignited.                      R\%/itt                     ...
