Re: Battery replacement time of the year

RW> I tried that, but couldn't find a battery that fit the space HD made for
RW> the battery. That was in 08 or 09 and had to go back to the HD dealer to
RW> get an overpriced pos from them. When it failed again in less than a
   RW> year,
RW> I just let it sit until I can find one that is priced right and will fit
RW> the space that it needs to go into.

Next time I remove the seat from the HD, I'll try and remember to take a look
at the brand name of the replacement battery. I know it isn't a HD battery.

RW> OTH, my garage houses the 56 and the Camaro, along with the washer and
RW> dryer with my work space in front of the 56/Camaro, which includes a CNC
RW> verticle mill, my machine shop roll-away and tool box, with another one
RW> along side of it for tools that used to be in my machine shop rollaway.
   RW>
RW> And then there is the spare hood for the 56 sitting under some new but
   RW> yet
RW> to be fully used, shelving, along with my roll away containing automotive
RW> tools. And the HD sits behind the 56, allowing the door to be closed
RW> behind it. My only complaint is that the Camaro had to sit outside from
RW> Jan to Jun so that I could tear down the wall that used to seperate my
RW> work area from car space, so that I could move the mill all the way to
   RW> the
RW> back of the garage. I thought I may have expand the garage to fit
RW> everything in, but put a lot of stuff in a storage shed behind the
   RW> garage.

Do you have AC in your garage? I'm sure it can get hot in there in Texas if
you don't. The only thing I have in our garage is a space heater for those
"emergency repairs" in the middle of the winter.

RW> That's where a pickup or an SUV comes in handy. I fill the PU bed with
RW> groceries, back up to the garage door and unload it under the overhang,
RW> rain or shine. That's the shortest path to the kitchen anyway.

Eventually we will be able to use the garage to park at least one of the cars.
We need to build a shed under our deck to house some of the lawn/garden/toys
   and stuff.

The other issue is the fridge, which you can't open with a large vehicle in
that space. That will move to the basement eventually.
