RW> RW>> I have a different idea in mind for the use of a battery, bank. One       RW> RW>> of these days I'll be running the furnace/AC off of a battery pack,       RW> RW>> at least part time. 220v/2.4amps...charged by a solar panel and a       RW> RW>> wind generator combination.              RW> TW> That unit is a littlesmall for a job like that, particualrly if there       RW> TW> is little to no wind.              RW>This isn't California. Texas has a lot of wind from all directions on most       RW>days and nights, depending on the weather flow.              RW> TW> That panel is only good for about 3 amps charging current.              RW>Yeah, but with the wind generator (and plenty of wind), it would be only a       RW>small amount of the current available.              Slipped my mind that you were in Texas. With a good wind pattern you       coual get along quite well. As a side note I calcualtedthe batteery drin       for that 220v/2.4amps and it comes to a 40 Amp draw on a 12 volt       Battery.       You will need to chart typical run time and size the Wind       Generator/Solar Panel combination carefully to keep the battery charged.       ---        þ SLMR 2.1a þ 0        * Origin: Fidonet Since 1991 And Still Here.
