Put one probe of a Voltmeter on the battery post itslef       TW> and the other one on the cable connector adn have soemoen crank the       TW> engine and see what voltage drop yuo get. It will be very low or zero if       TW> the psot is clean and you have a good conection.              From what I can tell, it seems to have been a combination of not starting the       Monte Carlo for 2 weeks and the battery terminals being corroded.               I cleaned the connections and recharged it a few weeks ago. It sat all last       week and started right up this weekend when I went to drive it again. Looks       like the Sears Die-Hard is still going strong.              On the other hand, the Durango has been sitting 3 1/2 weeks now. I went to       start it this weekend and got the click-click-click. I need to do the same       thing - clean the terminals and recharge. Not sure how old that battery is       yet or what type, but will find out.              - Mark              --- WWIVToss v.1.50         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
