|    Battery replacement time of the year.    |

The early fall season is battery replacement time of the year.               I have been alternating driving my 2012 Charger and my 2002 Monte Carlo -       every other week (mixing some days riding the HD when the weather permits).               I went out to drive the Monte Carlo yesterday morning and got the weak battery       "click click clicking" noise. Wouldn't turn over. Then I was trying to think       when the battery was last replaced - and it seemed like it wasn't that long       ago.              I keep everything logged when I do anything with my vehicles and took a look.       Turns out the battery was replaced exactly 3 years ago - on a 3 year warranty       battery. The years seem to go by much faster as you get older.. Doesn't seem       like 3 years, as I remember replacing it like it was yesterday.               I recharged it and it starts again, but it will probably have to be replaced       as I figure it will go dead again. They just don't make long lasting       batteries like they used to.               Does anyone have any recommendations for decent batteries?               I currently have a Sears Diehard - Gold in the Monte Carlo. At least it       lasted as long as the warranty, which some don't even do that.               - Mark               --- WWIVToss v.1.50         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
