Well, it does prove that a lot of what this admin calls 'outsourced' as
   not being entirely true.

I have a mix of Snap-on and Craftsman tools. Even some Chinese tools, but
I'm always throwing that Chinese stuff away and replacing it when it wears
out or breaks. The "Made in the USA" stuff I've had for decades. Some of
it from the early 60s. I have a 1/4" Craftsman electric drill purchased in
1962 that still works like it did in 62, a Craftsman 'twist and stretch'
torque wrench that is just like new (still in the original 1967 box), and
a 1/4" Snap-on rachet that had lost the on/off lever and recently repaired
by one of their truck drivers at no expense. Then there is the Snap-on
'stud removal' tools that he replaced under their lifetime warranty.

You can't find that kind of warranty in any Jap or Chinese tools.

MH> When you want something to last, buy a Craftsman. I have broken many
MH> ratchets over the years, but not one of them was a Craftsman. All
    MH> the "MadeinChina" garbage.

That site I gave you had S-H tools listed on it. I always thought their
tools were made in Japan or China because of the less than pristine
quality they have, but they're made in the USA...another American made
brand that can be found at garage sales...
