RW>> No doubt. The 'Houston' weather arrived here today and althogh the
RW>> temps are around 90F, the humidity is way up there. I'm sweating in
    RW>> the shade today.

RN> I noted yesterday that it was hotter where you are than here and
    RN> THAT's something.

That was on the 12th and we had a lot of humidity off the gulf that day.
Yesterday it was 92F with low humidity and I worked in the garage without
breaking a sweat. Two ceiling fans and a 18" pusher to move the air along.
I also have a 54" fan that pushes a lot of air when the humidity gets up
there. Been thinking about building a 54" swamp cooler to help cool off
   the garage.

RN>> I also note that gas went up 4 cents a gallon since Tuesday. It was
RN>> $3.09.9 then and is now $3.13.9. What is it over there?

RW>> Last few weeks gas has been $2.95 per/gal. Price was because a new
RW>> Buckee's super store has opened on the north side of town. Both
RW>> truck stops had to match Buckee's price, and so a gas war ensued.
RW>> This week I passed WalMart's Murphy station at $3.19 while on my
RW>> way to the car wash and on the way back, the price had dropped to
RW>> $2.95 again. The two majors on that corner couldn't afford to drop
RW>> their prices that low and remained at their lowest of
RW>> $3.09...Sheez, and all of this with oil dropping like a glass of
RW>> beer to $80/bbl...fortunately, my BP stock remains steady.

    RN> I don't remember the last time I saw gas under $3.

It's been a while, hasn't it...gas prices should be lower, since oil has
been $20 cheaper a barrel, but gasoline suppliers aren't going to budge
off of their profits without an incentive to lower prices. It is summer,
so I don't expect gas prices to get any lower until September, after
   school starts.
