That is why I could never be a plumber.        MH> Speaking of leaks, I think the Durango has a slow oil leak in the        MH> real seal area. It is always tough to tell exactly where I leak is        MH> and usually just as difficult to fix.              The rear seal area isn't much of a problem to fix, pull the drive shaft       and replace the seal. The front seal requires the tranny be pulled and the       pump removed. When you take it that far, you might as well re-build the       trans too.               MH> Provided it stays a slow leak, I'm not that concerned about it.              If it gets worse, do the above. A long screw-driver or similar prys the       seal out and a few taps with a plastic hammer puts in a new seal. Grease       the exterior of the front yoke before you put it back in to lube the seal       before driving the car. I'd also check the front yoke for holes that may       exist, allowing ATF from the output shaft to leak past the yoke.               RW>> Lucky you don't live in Texas. South central Texas,        RW>> unlike the east coast and upper midwest, cools to 70+ at night and        RW>> warms up to the day's high around 5pm, then begins another cool down        RW>> as the sun sets. The        RW>> 'helper' tech got the job of attaching all coax to the dish that the        RW>> 'senior' installer put up the roof, then he got the 'attic' job of        RW>> running        RW>> coax. I didn't envy that youngster that job one iota. Been there too        RW>> many times.               MH> Not fun. Especially in the daytime when it is really hot up there.              I asked if they had done the attic thing before and they said it was no       problem, as long as they could get in and out quick enough.               RW>> Without a good roof vent system, it gets hotter than that. Our house        RW>> has a peak-vent that runs the entire length of the house and that        RW>> helped some, but I'd venture to say that it still gets upwards of        RW>> 150 up there.               MH> We have one of those roof vents that runs over the majority of the        MH> house and also an attic fan, but it is still super hot up there.              According to roof vent officiendos, there shouldn't be any 'end' vents in       the attic. If you had/have them they should be blocked off. The natural       tendency for air to flow up when heated draws cooler outside air through       the soffets and will lower the attic temps a lot better. Also close off       any interior or garage access ports. Including that fan.               MH> The big advantage seems to be that these things allow the heat to        MH> escape in the evening hours much easier.              I know that the vaulted ceiling in our living room used to make the room       unliveable during summer (the AC couldn't keep up very well). The peak       vent makes it a whole lot cooler these days.               R\%/itt              ... besides, IMNSHO, Ward Dossche should resign as ZC2 and surrender his       ... net node-number to the ZCC ! - Cato the Elder -              ...
