I won't ride when the temps        MH> go over 95 degrees. It isn't fun when it gets that hot.              Lucky you don't live in Texas. Its always too hot to ride, except for an       early morning or late evening cruise. South central Texas, unlike the east       coast and upper midwest, cools to 70+ at night and warms up to the day's       high around 5pm, then begins another cool down as the sun sets. If it was       anything like northern Illinois when I was growing up, I wouldn't live       here. You'll know that it's going to be a hot one when the wind shifts       from a westerly flow to a southerly or south-southeasterly flow during       the summer.               MH> I had to go up in the attic last weekend to adjust the dampers that        MH> go to the upstairs rooms to get the air flow evened out. I did it        MH> early in the morning before it went up to 100 degrees outside.              I had DirecTV out here yesterday, installing a new sat system. The       'helper' tech got the job of attaching all coax to the dish that the       'senior' installer put up the roof, then he got the 'attic' job of running       coax. I didn't envy that youngster that job one iota. Been there too many       times.               MH> I would be willing to bet, the attic gets to around 130 degrees on        MH> days like that. Takes you breath away and instant sweat.              Without a good roof vent system, it gets hotter than that. Our house has a       peak-vent that runs the entire length of the house and that helped some,       but I'd venture to say that it still gets upwards of 150 up there.               R\%/itt                     --- Twit(t) Filter v2.1 (C) 2000-10        * Origin: Roiz Flying \A/ Service * South Texas * USA * (1:387/22)    |
