They       typically swell the seals and also have a foam/bubble preventer to keep the       transmission from getting air bubbles in it.              Normally the air bubbles in the fluid are from it being overfilled. I have       found this out first hand. I used my evacuator to remove about 2-3 quarts       from both my car and the truck when they came back after repairs with too much       fluid in them. It would cause bubbles in the fluid and an occational slip.               That is one thing about tramission fluid.
