RW> A friend of mine just bought a 2008 VW 'Beatle' and drove it from       RW> Minneapolis, MN for a two month 'winter' stay in south Texas. It was       RW> warmer in Minnesota during the first month of her visit than it was here       RW> in Texas.                     Does it have the 5 cyl or 4 cyl turbo? I had a 2009 Gti with the tsi engine       (basically the Audi A-4) which was made for forced induction with cast iron       block and chain driven cams. I think a bug with the tsi motor could be quite a       sleeper considering all the flashes available. I had the APR stage II on my       car with intake and exhaust and it was close to 280 hp. I was getting ready       to get the european Audi A-3 turbo for the car which is basically an OEM piece       but would take it up over 320hp. Any more boost and you really should have       better internals. Quite an amazing motor. Same performance characteristics as       late 60s Chevy small block yet half the cylinders. Actually the car has half       the weight too ;) I think the 69 Firebird was close to 2 tons when you think       about it.                      --- WWIVToss v.1.50         * Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0)    |
