   i read that which is why i replied to your above...   
      
   i keep wanting to say that QWK uses that i character for its EOL but it   
   doesn't... it uses 0xe3...   
      
   i've also looked at the bluewave format and it doesn't specify anything for   
   EOL...   
      
   we can only assume, at this point, that some system ignored (completely) that   
   specific i character and as a result stripped it out during processing...   
      
   NOTE: i've used the normal lower case i from CP437 in this message to avoid   
   confusion and stripping by intermediate systems...
