   possibly but it is ugly in plain text having to see that stuff... i'd suggest   
   to maybe hide them behind ^A... leave the ascii text alone and ^A all the   
   rest... that'll hide it from most folk's view... GoldED users, at least, may   
   see them because GoldED doesn't know them... the new ^ACols control line is   
   displayed because it is unknown... i haven't looked to adding it to my local   
   copy of GED, yet...

   until MIME is recognized and used in FTNs, well...   
      
   there is documentation in the FTSC libraries that talks about MIME... check   
   the Type 3 and Type 10 packet proposals... there may be other docs that   
   mention MIME as well... if you don't have it yet, i'd get the whole library to   
   local media and then it is a lot easier to grep and look over...
