   Those survived and I wasn't sure they were in your original as such.  I didn't   
   count them but there are quite a few of them as well as \r's from hell.

   Sounds great.  The little I've done with ansi graphics I've made it a point to   
   follow a similar plan.  In my case it was only to colourize messages on a   
   console.

   Understood.  Anyhow back when it mattered to me I found rxvt to be the   
   terminal of choice in GUI-land.  If I am recalling correctly it was with the   
   -rv and -ls switches turned on by default.  Same with xterm now that I think   
   about it.
