   netcat I know but just learned about nvda.  Given my systems here, which are   
   all 64 bit linux based, nvda isn't possible except maybe as a virtual   
   machine.  netcat is definetly doable as well as socat which can handle   
   encryted ssl sockets which makes for more secure telnet like configurations.    
   See http://www.dest-unreach.org/socat/ for a win64 version of socat.
