   The entire pktheader is ignored here.  There is absolutely nothing there that

   Understood.  Near as can be determined here is that the entire pktheader as   
   well as the first 14 bytes of the msgheader can be safely sent to the bitbucket   
    as completely useless data to both humans and machines.  Unfortunetly the same   
    cannot be said for links.
