First I have to check if the store in question does have it in       stock and at what price. If the price is right I'll have to come up with an       excuse to buy and try it out.              Speaking of trying things out, I was looking at a version 2 UUID and tried       replacing the 48 bit MAC address with an extra-special Fidonet address       containing a 12 bit user number which would assure every user of a particular       BBS an unique identifier as part of the UUID. For example "Maurice Kinal" 48       bit hex id would be 100991b59bad. With the current datetime then the UUID       would be; f4635300-0c54-11e8-9dd1-100991b59bad. Knowing the UUID's version,       then running 'uuidparse' yields;              ----- ' |
