Hey Nancy!               NB> But, like you, wouldn't mind sharing someone else's buy              That is always the ultimate with a good friend. It is also true if I am the       one buying but only the cheaper usual suspects such as Glenlivet 12yo.               NB> Ah, but I do have more information that I've learned over the        NB> years...              From my perspective the word 'Scotch' implies it was made in Scotland and       therefore a Canadian whisky should never use that particular word on the label       as it would be deemed as false advertising as far as I the consumer is       concerned.               NB> and a book about single malt Scotch varieties....              That helps.               NB> Exactly what I said except for the Canadian not being restricted        NB> to barley....              From my limited experience rye seems to be the more common usual suspect when       it comes to Canadian whisky. I an't recall the last time I ever had a       Canadian whisky. Irish whisky (Bushmill's) wasn't too many years ago and was       enjoyable but I can honestly say wasn't as good as Glenlivet.               NB> the other suspects don't read here, do they...?              True. One has threatened to join up but hasn't lately. I think the last time       he read/posted was long before you and I started talking about Scotch.               NB> unless my brother actually came for a visit and sat down with me        NB> to imbibe.... ;)              Doesn't he supply the bottle when that happens? Seems to me we discussed       proper single malt Scotch etiquette awhile back and agreed that it was good       manners for your brother to be the supplier when visiting. No?              Life is good,       Maurice              ...
