   Ah...  so, a bottling from a variety of ages... probably more of the   
   younger end than the older, to have it be essentially approximately a   
   10yo... Interesting that they say the 10yo Fine Oak bottling is now   
   defunct...  that's the one I finally finished off this year...  ;)

   Must be enough of the 15yo to mellow it out... and little enough of it   
   that it doesn't command a premium price...  ;)

   It would appear that Macallan changed their mind about replacing the   
   age-stated bottlings with the colour-coded... or at least haven't fully   
   implemented it.... I just bought this year a 12yo Macallan, which I   
   haven't opened yet... first I had to finish off the 10yo Fine Oak, and   
   then I was given the leftover sampler bottles in September...

   And indeed it was...  :)   I have left about a half-shot of the 10yo   
   Glenmorangie Original, and the same of the 12yo Quinta Rubin... it might   
   be interesting to mix the two for the upcoming toast... perhaps it will   
   be similar to the Macallan Gold..  ;)
