   I would assume both? I have both libncurses.so as well as libncursesw.so, and   
   /usr/include/ncurses.h has replacements and other settings for both.

   Take a look at 'screen'. I just installed it, and used that to run golded in.   
   Now I'm even getting the ansi line drawing characters that golded was built   
   with, rather than ncurses changing them to ascii letters.

   Then you just tinker with it a bit, and find other things to try! ;)
