                          The FIdonet ARTWARE Echo.
                         Rules and Guidelines
                        Modified June 19, 2011

This conference is moderated by RIchard Webb,
Fidonet 1:116/901 and Dallas HInton of FIdonet 1:153/715.

   Conference information:

ARTWARE is a product support echo open to all for the discussion,
chat, assistance, etc. of ARTWARE products. Open to all authors, users,
distributors, support sites and everyone who uses shareware.

Posting a message in this echo will be understood by the Moderator to be a
declaration of your intent to abide by these and any other rules that may,
of necessity, be formulated. *Post in English Only Please.*
OTher languages may be used if a translation to
ENglish is available within the same message, to the best
of your abilities. The flip side of this is that flaming
somebody whose primary language is not English for improper
use of the language is unacceptable.

I expect to have little to do here, as most who participate
in this echo should be familiar with standard rules of
echomail etiquette. For those who are new here, please make
note of them as they apply to this echo, as listed below.

   1. The topics of this conference should be related to TimEd,
NetMgr, WIMM, JAMINFO and related Software, including
distributors, authors and users alike. This includes third
   party authors and their products.

   2. Avoid excessive quoting. Try to quote enough of the
message so that the person you are responding to understands
the reply and can relate it to what was being discussed.

   3. Users are requested to please consider both the QUALITY and QUANTITY
of what they post, keeping in mind the costs incurred for moving the
mail. SOme users of this echo may still by necessity need
to dial long distance or are charged according to the
bandwidth they consume. Please consider them, and the costs
they incur to participate in FIdonet.

   4. MOderation issues will only be handled via FIdonet
netmail. IF posts emanating from your system appear in this
echomail conference then you are assumed to be able to
receive and respond to FIdonet netmail.

If you feel that someone is out of line, please make the
Moderator(s) aware of the situation through Netmail, and
   allow them to follow through.

   5. Use of handles and or aliases is not allowed. Those people who are
logged on to bbs's using an alias should post their real names
prominently in the body of each message they post. All
messages posted here should show the actual Fidonet
address of the originating system or the system which
provides an approved gateway. SEe below for echo policy
       regarding gateways to other networks.

       6. There shall be no bashing of hardware, hardware manufacturers, software
programs, software authors or any other individuals. If you
have a problem with a program, company or piece of equipment
and want to discuss it in an effort to get some help, fine,
but let's not tear something down unless you can offer
constructive suggestions for building it back up.
There will not be any widget wars.*

   7. NO gating outside FIdonet permitted except where
approved by the moderator and the participants of the echo.
IF a gate to another network is approved the provider of
that gateway is responsible for all traffic entering the
echo. Spam and other undesirable traffic entering via such
a gateway will be grounds for an immediate request for the
gateway to be closed. failure to respond to this request in
a timely manner will be considered excessively annoying, and
   will generate a feed cut.

This is a living document and may change if the moderator(s)
see the need to revise it further.
