Hi! Björn,              On Wed, 18 Dec 13, you wrote to me:               BF> I'm not really sure that running Radius gives you the right to        BF> post here. 8-)              Smartie. :)               BF> Nah, just kidding, this is more of an attempt to make sure that        BF> you are still connected, after the recent disconnection from the        BF> echo. Now that we're on Fidoweb, all should be fine.              Yes, thanks muchly. I don't know what happened here. It may have just been a       local glitch but that's ancient history now.               PQ>> Well, I've just increased my Radius' "Stand-Off minutes" option        PQ>> setting from 10 up to 25. That might stop the log file filling up so        PQ>> much. Who knows. :)               BF> I've been experimenting quite a lot with those settings, but        BF> eventually decided to let it go. Yes, having log files that grows        BF> into hundreds of megabyte made my old DOS/10MB_HD/2400_modem gut        BF> squirm, but eventually I woke up and realized where we are ATM.              Same here, with the experimentation. I've upped the "Stand-Off minutes" to 59       minutes now and it's so much better. I'm tempted to make the two nodes       currently set un-dialable, to start polling them again.              Cheers,       Paul.              ... I say we nuke the site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.       --- Paul's Win98SE VirtualBox        * Origin: Quinn's Post - Maryborough, Queensland, OZ (3:640/384)    |
