DP> One of my favorite fish is a Tiger Oscar. So much personality and        DP> fun. Time to get a couple more maybe.....              how big is your oscar? how big is your tank? these guys can live for a long       time and get really huge... as large as a 12 inch frying pan if the tank is       large enough and they don't have any health problems... that means a 50 gallon       or larger tank for just one... i had one albino oscar in a 30 gallon tank for       ~10 years and she was definitely sandwich sized when she died due to a bladder       problem i found i could have maybe handled by feeding her squashed english       peas... so two sandwiches... really nice fish...              her companion was a pleco... both were bought at the same time... the oscar       was maybe the size of a 50cent piece and the pleco was maybe a little longer       than the diameter of a 50cent piece... after oscar died, i kept the pleco for       several more years... when i sold it, it was 2 inches across the eyes and 19       inches long from nose to tail... i think it was 15 or 18 years old at the time       :)               photos may be seen on my gallery site ;)              )\/(ark               * Origin: (1:3634/12)    |
