But also        SR> a couple of weather related scripts. I am waiting for a weather alert        SR> here to start on my next project with ChatGPT              I like how it will do stuff, but it is not perfect. But it teaches       as it goes, so you learn it AND you figure out the 10% it is missing.       :-) That's my style of learning!               JA> That led into learning about iTerm and micro for an        JA> editor. That led into replacing my MultiMail istall        JA> with one from HomeBrew, then setting terminal colors        JA> and such, and using micro for the reply editor.               SR> I have been using iTerm for almost as long as I have been using Mac's        SR> which is far too long :) It is my default terminal now. I use BlueMail        SR> which I complied here. I added rsz via homebrew so I can download and        SR> upload mail by using triggers              Ah nice! I was taking my MIL to her widow friend's house after church,       and had the thought about using it somehow to read/reply Apple Mail,       which is what I use. :-) It tells me it's not that easy... I could       access and read, but would be better using a homebrew IMAP reader. Then       of course I'd lose the cross functionality with my iPhone, iPad, iCloud       stuff (contacts, calendar, etc.). :-)               I write a blog and record it as a podcast too. I usually write        into the browser window and then go back and edit. I'm thinking        seriously about loading an old school word processor to write with -        clean screen - less distractions - etc.                JA> I then found out that SyncTERM, that I have used for        JA> years for telnet, is also a homebrew item, so I'm        JA> using a newer version of it and learned how to edit        JA> the ini and lst files.        JA>        JA> So it's been a great week for Apple for me! LOL        JA>               SR> Sadly my 2015 Macbook Air had to be Windowed so I could use my weather        SR> forecasting software. It went with me to Mongolia in 2015 and was        SR> dropped so many times but lasted              Ouch - but glad it lasted! My next 'project' on top of normal things is       to start scrapping LESS stuff (e-cycle, we don't dumpster it - we use       everything we can until it can't be used anymore - school system) and       turning it into a linux distro that SOMEONE can use for SOMETHING. :-)              I'm curious about your software!               And if you're curious, https://jimmylogan.substack.com                     ... I am Procrastitron. I will destroy you, eventually.       === MultiMail/Mac v0.52       --- SBBSecho 3.11-Win32        * Origin: Battlestar BBS : battlestarbbs.dyndns.org (1:129/165)       SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 124/5009 128/187 129/12 42 102 125 160 165       SEEN-BY: 129/305 153/7715 154/110 218/700 226/30 227/114 229/110 114       SEEN-BY: 229/206 300 317 400 426 428 470 664 700 705 261/1 220 266/75       SEEN-BY: 266/512 618 625 630 267/152 154 291/111 292/854 320/219 322/757       SEEN-BY: 396/45 460/58 712/848 902/26 2320/105 5020/400 5075/35       PATH: 129/165 266/512 229/426           |
