RN>RN> EV> I'd rather have my NX430 Users Guide on my computer just like the
RN>RN> EV> CX3810 Users Guide already is, so I can read it when I want without
RN>RN> EV> being on the internet to read it.

RN>RN>In other words, they didn't offer you much beyond informing you that
RN>RN>you would be receiving a survey from them?

   RN> EV> Roger,

   RN> EV> That's right!

RN>Man, I don't like that seller-user "support", although I have run across it
   RN>myself.

RN> EV> And about the Users Guide (UG), someone in the Win95 echo suggested
RN> EV> I go to Epson's site and download it, so I did.

   RN>Okay.

RN> EV> I clicked on the Manual link, right-clicked on the UG, selected
RN> EV> Save Link As to put it on my system.

   RN>Okay..

RN> EV> After Scanning the index.html file, I ran it and got a message
   RN> EV> saying it couldn't find the C:\\Content file.

RN>That figures. But I have to ask if it's possible the manual is on the CD
   the
RN>printer came with? No, you would have already looked there. I think their
RN>users guide is only available online, so I checked and found this:

   Roger,

I ran the User Guide program on the NX430 CD but I think all it did was
just a repeat of the original install, which put a Desktop Icon and a
entry in Start - All Programs to run a script to go to the internet
   address you mentioned below.

   RN>http://files.support.epson.com/htmldocs/nx430_/nx430_ug/index.html

RN>which is no doubt what you found and probably the source of your
   frustration,
RN>even though it works. Screen capturing every one of those pages is going to
RN>take a lot of time, so you might ask them if they can make it available.

RN> EV> I looked inside the index.html file to see that all I got was just
RN> EV> a file to look at the UG on Their Server. DUH!

   RN>OUCH! (see above)

I had a reply the other day from Tom Walker in the WIN95 echo about
this, so I went to Epsons NX430 UG page and Saved the Index.HTML file
and then I Saved it again as Index2.HTML.

This time I noticed there was a Index Directory and a Index2 Directory
   made.

I ran the Index.HTML file with the results being the same as before -
it couldn't find some file it needed.

I told Tom I'll look at the files in the Index directory and see if I
could figure out what 'it' needed changing to make it work, that is IF I
COULD FIGURE IT OUT, and I'd get back to him what I'd found out.

DUH!, I forgot all about saying that yesterday and now it's late here
and I don't expect to get to doing it until after Monday.

I guess I'll have to write a(nother) ROUNDTUIT note and put it on the
keyboard so I can see it, to remind me to do that.

I'll post my reply here too, Roger.
