|    My New AIO    |

I got a Epson Stylus NX430 All-In-One (AIO) a couple months ago.              Every time when I press the Power Button on it I see an alert from       McAfee Security Suite on my XP box screen asking if I want to Scan the       new USB device it saw come on.              So I let it do a Scan, and always the results MxAfee tells me are ZERO       Files, Sero Problems.              I thought it was funny that turning the NX430 ON would cause McAfee to       want to do a Scan on it.              One day much later, I noticed a Drive Letter in Windows Explorer (WE)       that was unfamiliar to me, so I right-clicked the Drive selected       Properties, and the results was Zero Bytes, Zero Files.              That made me wonder if the new Drive Letter and the NX430 was connected,       so since the AIO was turned on, I turned it OFF, and I saw the new to me       Drive Letter was remeved from the WE screen.              Turning the AIO back on caused me to see the Drive show up again in WE.              After I had Registered the NX430 Epson sent me a email asking for my       comments, so I clicked the link and entered my comments which included       my seeing a Drive Letter in WE whenever I turn the AIO on.              The other day I noticed in the Left Column of WE, under My Network       Places a entry that read               ftp.epson.com               there was a Plus Box to the Left of it so I clicked on it to see what       was in it and found 47 sub-entries.              I burrowed down a bit in the usr sub-entry and this is what I saw:              ftp://ftp.epson.com/usr/share/lib/zoneinfo/US/              I did a Search at ASK about the ftp link but didn't see anything that       was of interest to me in the first page of the results listed.              I will contact Epson about what these entries are for, but first I       thought I'd ask about it on FIDO to see what others might say about what       I have been seeing.              Thanks!                      * SLMR 2.1a #T348 * ----------This Tagline is blank to save space----------       --- SBBSecho 2.12-Linux        * Origin: telnet & http://cco.ath.cx - Dial-Up: 502-875-8938 (1:2320/105.1)    |
