If you don't have mini-marshmallows, large ones cut into fourths work       pretty well too.              Author: Maria       Recipe type: Dessert or Snack       Serves: 12       Ingredients               1 small package Strawberry Jello, or flavor of your choice        1/2 cup sugar        6 tbsp butter        1/4 cup Karo Syrup        1 tsp water        2 cups Mini Marshmallows        9 cups popped pop corn              Instructions              In a large mixing bowl, combine popcorn and minimarshmallows and set aside       Prepare a sheet of wax paper to place formed balls on In a small sauce pan,       combine Strawberry Jello, sugar, butter, karo syrup and 1 tsp water. Cook on       medium high heat until mixture comes to a full boil Turn burner to medium low       (make sure mixture keeps boiling at this temp or turn it up a little) and cook       for 1.5-2 minutes. I go the full two minutes. Quickly pour mixture over       popcorn and mini marshmallows and stir with a wooden spoon until popcorn is       evenly coated. with buttered hands, form popcorn into 12 round balls with       your hands. Set formed popcorn balls on to wax paper and allow to cool. I       like to put each ball in a fold over sandwich bag once they are cooled to help       them stay fresh.              Good luck!       --              >From Carol T:              Popcorn Balls              1 cup mini marshmallows       1/4 cup butter       3/4 cup light corn syrup       2 3/4 cup confectionersCÇÖ sugar       1 tablespoon water       5 quarts plain popped popcorn              Directions:       1. Combine marshmallows, butter, corn syrup, confectionersCÇÖ sugar and water       in a sauce pan and heat over medium low heat until mixture starts to boil.       2. Put the popcorn in a large bowl and pour the mixture over the popcorn and       carefully combine coating every kernel. 3. When the mixture is just slightly       warm roll popcorn balls into desired sizes and then cool.       --       >From Marie B:       I was going to reply, but all the lady needs to do is enter into Bing search       engine (at the library if not available at home) "recipe popcorn balls,       marshmallows 1960s" and dozens of recipes will come up. If she reads those,       she may recognized the ingredients from the lost recipe and narrow down her       search to just one or two. Marie B              >From Mary G:       Popcorn balls       1 cup of clear corn syrup       12 Large marshmallows ( 10 miniatures = 1 ) 1 and 2/3 cup of granulated sugar       6 to 8 quarts of popcorn       food coloring if you want to color them              Cook over medium heat stirring constantly, till sugar dissolves and comes to       rolling boil.       Turn heat to low, add marshmallow and stir till melted Pour over the popcorn       and mix.              Enjoy!       Mary G.
