The Spoons              I Had a friend that I worked with for years. She rode to work with me and was       always so jolly and a joy to be around. I left for a better paying job and       she moved to another city but never sold the house she owned. We stayed in       touch but as time went by we lost touch. Her daughter called me one day and       told me she had passed away. She told me they was going to have an estate       sale at her mother's house and thought I would like come by and pick something       for a keepsake for myself before the sale. I picked a set of gold brushed       coin silver spoons pat. In 1884 by J. F. Kohler and made in the John       H.Tyler & Co. In Richmond, Va.. The set is supposed to have twelve spoons       but had only eleven. It didn't matter that one spoon was missing because I       had something special to remember her by and it was made in the city I live.        Someday I hope I'll find this special spoon so I can complete the set. Until       then I will cherish the ones I have.
