   For next week's issue:

Last week's question seemed to be popular so we will continue it next week:
Thinking back to your childhood, is there something special that brings back
those warm and fuzzy feelings, that you would love to have again? It could be
a toy, a piece of furniture, a favorite book or even a car! Tell us what it
is and why it brings back such wonderful memories.

Send an email with your response to Phil@BigNews.biz Your feedback helps us
to keep the newsletter interesting :)

And thanks to those of you who have been responding! We really enjoy, and
   appreciate, the feedback!

Last week we asked: Thinking back to your childhood, is there something
special that brings back those warm and fuzzy feelings, that you would love to
have again? It could be a toy, a piece of furniture, a favorite book or even
a car! Tell us what it is and why it brings back such wonderful memories.

We received the following in response to last week's topic:

"Hi Phil, In response to last week's topic about something from my childhood
bringing back special memories that I wish I still had, I had a "Newborn
Thumbelina" doll that I adored. I must have been about 5 or 6 years old. I
can still hear the little jingle that would play every time the commercial
came on the television. "Newborn Thumbelina, you've never seen a doll like
newborn Thumbelina" . You would pull the string in her back and she would,
ever so slowly, squirm. Oh, how I wanted that doll! Money was tight for my
family but my mother bought her for me, and I don't think I ever went anywhere
without her. I think I truly believed that she was a real baby. Maria S."
   --------------
"My grandparents had a farmhouse with a wraparound porch when I was a little
girl. They had horses too but I couldn't go near them because I was so
allergic to them. I'd spend many a summer at that farm but I was sad, not
being able to ride a horse when my siblings were out riding. My grandparents
bought me one of those rocking horses that was on springs and I would "ride"
that thing forever. I even had a cowboy hat that I would only wear when
riding "Bucky". Such a great memory! I'd love to say that I wish I had it
again but I'd probably break it if I sat on it :) thanks for bringing the
memory of it back for me! Peggy K."
   ------------
"Hi, for your recent topic of the week about not having something from your
childhood that brings back good memories: I remember the first tool box my
grandfather gave me. It had a child sized hammer, saw, screwdriver, pliers
etc and I wanted to build things just like my Dad and grandpa. In the
beginning they would give me pieces of wood to nail together but slowly I
tried my hand at birdhouses and other small things. My father and grandfather
gave me such encouragemnt and taught me how to get better and better, without
ever criticizing my mistakes. I don't know what happened to that tool box,
and I woudl love to have it again, just to see how small those tools were. It
probably was replaced by bigger tools, but it brings me back to a simpler
time, with two men who aren't with us any more. Steve J."

If you have an opinion, or a story, in reference to any of the above topic, or
any of our recent topics, we'd love to hear from you! Please send it to:
Phil@BigNews.biz and maybe we will run it in an upcoming newsletter.
