Here are some of the responses:              "Surely a dilemna .. I think that Diane L. should ask each of her sons and       their wives to pick a few special items that they would like and then ask any       other family members (brothers, sisters, etc.) to do the same. The sons then       could have an estate sale and split the proceeds 50/50. We can only do just       so much .. but know we did our very best to preserve the family items during       our lifetime. Jaci"              "Diane L. has a problem of what to do with the antique heirlooms and other       collectibles. We are almost all in the same position, but I know that once I       go home, it will not matter. I've also found that my daughter who once really       didn't care about such things now has a deeper appreciation for them. It will       be her responsibility to take care or dispose of the items. Some I have       designated for my son, but the rest is her responsibility. Worry about the       unknown is useless. Enjoy what you have and let the other worry about later.        Marilyn J. C."              "Diane L wanted to know what to do with her antiques. I solved my problem       when I had so many dolls, toys, and dollhouses. With the help of the       community we started the Children's Toy and Doll Museum..and others added to       our collection. Today it is a tourist attraction and everyone can enjoy the       collections. She could give her collection to a museum , her grandchildren       and those to come could enjoy them..It would be so gratifying to know they are       safe, and that others are enjoying them. S.H. "              "If the wife is not an antique lover any items left to her will go into the       next garage sale. Bonnie F.T"              "Leave any important to you items to someone of your choice but be aware that       you cannot control anything after you are gone.
