*Note - the recipes are submitted by fellow Collectors Newsletter       readers and are not checked for accuracy or tested by the TIAS staff. Keep in       mind that many of these recipes were created at a time when there were no       worries about such things as raw eggs, for example - so modern kitchen safety       should prevail.       ----              8. As with collectibles, people also have very strong feelings about foods       from their past. Sometimes these special recipes get lost. This section is to       help people who are looking for lost recipes from their past. If you submit a       request, please include the geographical region where you tasted the recipe.              Two weeks ago we started a discussion about foods created by family members       that we either loved or hated when we were kids - foods probably never found       in any cookbooks. We posted a couple of replies last week. Here are two more:              Glenda E. writes: "Reading the responses to favorite foods brought back       memories. My Mom and I made bread and milk (sometimes with a little sugar)       our evening meal often. Cornbread worked great too. The pigs feet snack       reminded me of my Aunt giving me a boiled chicken foot to gnaw on. I don't       think it was anywhere close to being a "favorite"."              and Margaret M. writes: "It wasn't the vanilla pudding for me...but the pureed       apricots. My Mother actually had a grown-up recipe that called for jars of       Gerber baby apricots. The other reader is right...once they "healtified"       them-they lost a grown up customer with an adult sized appetite for their       apricots. Margaret, Menomonie, WI"              If you have a vintage recipe request send it to recipes@tias.com and we might       just publish it here.              TIAS.com merchants have well over 4,000 cookbooks for sale!
