Check it out!       --       Here's another story from one of our sellers at TIAS.com. Thanks for sharing,       Sierra!              "Searching for antiques and collectibles has always been in my blood. It's not       hoarding if you know where everything is located, right?              In 1969, I was introduced to my first swap meet as they were called in       California. Swap meets are also known as flea markets or jockey lots       depending on your area. My parents and I were moving to Hawaii and they       wanted to cut down of the number of things we would take to the islands. A       good friend suggested we try our luck selling at the local swap meet. We were       out the door at 6 AM and returned home exhausted about 5 PM. I was hooked, as       were my parents. It's a good thing those shipping containers were so big       because I think we ended up buying almost as many things as we sold. Coin       collecting and plush stuffed animals were my first addictions. Books and       glassware soon followed.              Many years have passed, and I have been fortunate to live in 8 different       states and visit dozens more before settling with my husband in Tennessee. I       joined TIAS in 2002, and run two sites: Tennessee Antique Shack for antiques       and collectibles; and Sierra Enterprises Internet Store for new and classic       finds. I hope you'll stop in because you never know what you might find.              I agree with Myrna of Dinnerware Replacements when she said, "Have fun with       whatever you do in life." Whether you're thinking about becoming an online       seller or just like shopping for personal treasures, TIAS is an easy path to       follow. It's a joyous journey."              We've posted the story with pictures on Facebook here: http://on.fb.me/1myxlLO              You can visit Sierra's stores by visiting: http://www.tias.com/s       ores/tnantiqueshack and http://www.tias.com/stores/sierraenterprises       --------------------------              --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Dada-1        * Origin: Prism bbs (1:261/38)    |
