Below is a response received       from Geri:              I wonder if this is the exact recipe that Sue was looking for. I found it       online so I can't say that it is good or not, but it sounds good!              Sunday Hot Bread (1930′s-1940′s)              3/4 C. sugar       1 egg       2 T. butter       2/3 C. milk       Pinch of Salt       1 1/2 C. flour       3 t. baking powder       3 t. lemon extract       Granulated sugar       Cinnamon              Cream butter and sugar, add egg mixed with milk and extract, then flour and       baking powder. A vintage recipe request from a reader: "I wish I could remember the name       of this dish but since I can't, maybe someone else will know it so I can       search the internet for it, or maybe they will have the recipe. My mother       used to make an absolutely delicious weekend breakfast for us when we were       growing up in Chicago. I remember that there was bacon and sausage, I think       there was tomato and they sat on top of a biscuit. I've tried to remake it       but it's just not right and I don't know what I'm missing. I remember that, as       you bit into it, you would taste the bacon and sausage first, but then there       was a sweet flavor somewhere in the mix..I'd love to make it for my kids.        Thanks to anyone who might have an idea! Tara G."              As with collectibles, people also have very strong feelings about foods from       their past. Sometimes these special recipes get lost. This section is to help       people who are looking for lost recipes from their past. If you submit a       request, please include the geographical region where you tasted the recipe.       --       If you can help this reader with this recipe, please forward it to       phil@bignews.biz . If you have a vintage recipe request send it to       phil@bignews.biz and we might just publish it here.
