In response to last week's question which asked about strange collections, we       received the following comment:              "OMG Phil! When I read about the Aunt and Uncle who had a jar of teeth in       their kitchen I was amazed. My grandparents had the same thing! If only we       knew why! Kathy K"              editor's note: Does anyone have a logical explanation as to why these people       kept broken teeth, and why they would be displayed in a jar in their kitchen?              If you have an opinion, or a story, in reference to any of the above topic, or       any of our recent topics, we'd love to hear from you! Please send it to:       Phil@BigNews.biz and maybe we will run it in an upcoming newsletter.       ----       A request for identification:              Claudia sent the following: "I cannot identify this vase or age. Visited       several sites, books and companies. I feel it is Japanese and 19th century.        Any ideas? Height 4 5/16, Spread between rim scallops at widest 2 1/16,       Spread between handles 3 5/16, Height to top of handles 3.75. Lots of heavy       gold on this piece. I am puzzled by the handles. Absolutely beautiful.        Definitely old. The mark is a little blurred. It is oval, blue on white.        Thanks so much. Claudia "              You can see two photos of Claudia's vase here: http://on.fb.me/18SNN4e       -------       Another request for identification:              "I'm wondering if any of your readers would help me identify these kitchen       items. The one at the left in the photo is 11" long x 2 3/4" at it's widest.        It is marked Germany Aluminum with a globe inside a six pointed star.              The 2nd one on the right is 11 1/2" long x 2 3/4" at it's widest . It is       marked Westmark Unikum Germany D.B.G.M.. Any idea what these 2 were       specifically used for? Thank you, Lara H."              You can see photos of Lara's kitchen items here: http://on.fb.me/19DkgOV       --------       Another request for identification              Lara asked about her glass bowl too:              "I'm wondering if any of your readers would help me identify this bowl. It       measures 3 1/2" tall with a 5 3/4" diameter at the top, 3 1/4" diameter at the       bottom. The top is saw toothed not flat. Does anyone know who made it or the       pattern name? Thank you, Lara H."              You can see two photos of Lara's bowl here: http://on.fb.me/1adhQ4B       ------              Do you have an item in your collection that you need help identifying or just       would like to share with our readers?
